Viewing a Post in the Bazaar
1. Browsing Posts
As you navigate the Bazaar, you can toggle between two distinct views:
- Panel View: This is the default, presenting posts as panels.
- List View: Posts are displayed in a list format.
Both views display the NFT associated with the post, if there is one. If a post has multiple NFTs, the primary NFT is showcased, with an indicator denoting the number of additional NFTs.
2. Delving into Post Details
Clicking on a panel (in Panel View) or a list item (in List View) takes you to the listing's page, which has full details including the entire body text of the post as well as all the NFTs or images associated with it.
For any NFTs, you can view details including:
- Name of the NFT
- Collection name
- Token index
- Contract address
- Contract type (either ERC721 or ERC1155)
- Description
Additional information about the post can be found at the bottom of the page, including the poster's username, profile picture, and wallet address, as well as listing type and time.
Replying to a Post in the Bazaar
1. Sending a Reply
Clicking on the Reply button at the top right of the post's page takes you to the Terminal, where you'll see in Direct Messages that a new message to be sent to the poster has been conveniently readied, with the post already attached.
All you need to do is add your message for the poster, and then send.
2. Engaging in Negotiations
Once your message is sent, it's like having a direct line of communication between you and the poster to discuss the trade. This kind of interaction mirrors the vibrant atmosphere of traditional bazaars, where traders engage in lively negotiations, whether that's haggling over terms, recounting another trade they recently heard about, or even striking the next deal they want to do.
From this point, a party can:
- Propose a trade and navigate through that process - see Propose a Trade.
- Initiate the on-chain swap to do the trade - see Create a Trade.
